‘The Last Golden Harvest’ 36” x 24” Inspired by
the golden afternoon light seen at one of his
friends station, outside Coolah on the western
slopes of New South Wales, the artist displays a
measured use of drifting yellow light to relate
the labor of horse and man as they turn the soil
of a spent crop of corn. Hagan frequently dips
into the endeavor of man and animal in his paintings
of Australian heritage.
